John Fox In Chicago Is A Bad Idea!

Hi everybody, sorry I’ve been gone for about a month, but that’s what happens when the Bears have a season like they did this year. There is hope though and it starts with our stud GM Ryan Pace. He has this attitude that I immediately fell in love with. He knows what the weather in Chicago is like, where running the football and playing defense will win you games. The Bears have interviewed several coaches but one coach I don’t like at all is John Fox.

Why wouldn’t John Fox be the right person to change the Bears organization? One might ask, it’s because with Fox the offense LOVES to the throw the ball. John Fox had a future hall of famer as his QB in Denver, we have Jay Cutler. Who I believe is going to stay with the Bears, because when you think about it what better choice is out there? Last thing we want to see with Chicago is Jay Cutler slinging the ball around 40-50 times a game in order to win a ball game. Cutler had 561 pass attempts this season, his second highest since his third season back with Denver when he had 616 pass attempts. Coincidently Cutler had 18 interceptions in both of those seasons. John Fox in his last three seasons with Denver has had Peyton Manning throw the ball 597 times, 659 times, and 583 times. I’m going to give you time to think about this. Imagine what a quarterback like Jay Cutler would do with the ball if he throws it that many times in a season. Just give Cutler 30 interceptions to start the season. John Fox would not solve Chicago’s problems by throwing the ball, which is what got the Bears in trouble this season. I will go back to what our GM said, run the ball and play defense, that’s the way you win games.

Another reason John Fox wouldn’t work in Chicago is he doesn’t bring that fire, or the will to bring a team back to win a game when they’re losing in a ball game. BOTH of which are things the Chicago Bears need in this organization. The Bears need a leader in their coach, when adversity strikes, the team will find a way to rebound. Denver didn’t know how to adjust to Seattle’s defense in the Super Bowl and couldn’t figure out how to beat a mediocre Indianapolis Colts defense this year in the divisional round of the playoffs. The Bears have the personnel on offense to score but when teams adjust and figure out the offense, will John Fox find the adjustment he needs to make to give his team the best chance to win? I don’t think so and I hope Ryan Pace can see that.

I would like to either see Doug Marrone, former head coach of the Buffalo Bills or Teryl Austin, defense coordinator for the Detroit Lions, become the next head coach of the Chicago Bears. Both of these individuals had great defenses this past season and that is something we need to have again in the windy city.
